Project: TikTok Channel Launch for Outside Magazine

Role: Social Media Strategist & Content Producer
Platform: TikTok
Content Types: UGC Reposts, Branded Clips, Original Series Highlights, Outdoor Humor, Storytelling Shorts

Overview: I led the launch and rapid growth of Outside Magazine’s TikTok presence, building the account from a few thousand to over 43.4K followers and 2.9M likes through a content strategy rooted in community, relatability, and a love for the outdoors. The approach blended viral user-generated content (UGC), short-form brand storytelling, series promotions, and outdoor lifestyle humor to create an engaging, scroll-stopping feed.

Posting consistently 1–2 times per day, I curated and produced a wide range of content—from cinematic ski footage and funny fail clips to inspirational moments and educational voiceovers. I also created platform-native assets for Outside original shows, like Outside Watch, to connect with a younger and more dynamic audience.

Key Highlights:

Impact:

  • Established Outside as a relevant voice on TikTok within the outdoor and adventure space

  • Created a consistent, fast-moving pipeline of content that drove audience growth and video performance

  • Increased Outside’s overall digital footprint and brand awareness among Gen Z and Millennial outdoor enthusiasts

  • Fostered creator partnerships and built internal momentum around short-form video content
